|Biography|

Born and raised in Argentina (La Plata, Buenos Aires) with a few years' stop in Venezuela (Puerto La Cruz), Veronica moved to Miami with her family in the mid 80's, and has remained in the United States since. She studied at Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University (majoring in English Literature), before moving to New York for approximately seven years where she trained to become an actor.

She returned to Miami in 2003, after landing a voiceover account from General Motors as the national and regional voice of Pontiac (for the Hispanic market), through which she joined the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA). Shortly thereafter, Veronica's voice appeared in Voiceovermiami.com -a widely used industry tool in South Florida- and she was soon recording numerous commercials for radio, television and internet campaigns for such prestigious clients as McDonald's, OnStar, Folgers, Chevrolet, Minute Maid, Kotex, The U.S. Navy, TJ Maxx, CVS Pharmacy, Act Mortgage Capital and Huggies, among others (for updated list, please see Clients page).

Veronica's voiceover work can be found in the following websites: Voiceovermiami.com, Talento.com and www.vocesenespanol.com. She is also part of the voiceover compilation CD Voiceovermiami 10 and 11. Her style ranges anywhere from sultry and sexy to young and fresh, warm and friendly, corporate, sophisticated or anywhere in between. She has a neutral accent in both English and Spanish, and can also take on various Hispanic accents and character voices.

Although she continues to work as a voiceover talent, Veronica has lately made several on-camera appearances in various television commercials, recently securing a principal role on a [SAG] national TV ad for Disney. In addition to her work in the advertising field, Veronica has also appeared on several Hispanic novelas for both the NBC/Telemundo Network ("El Cuerpo del Deseo") and Venevision Productions ("Olvidarte Jamás"), as well as starred in several independent films, including Interconnected – a UM production wherein she plays the lead actress.

Veronica was also cast as the lead role in the upcoming independent film Claustrophobia from 3HM Films, after participating in that company's short film The Curtain Rising which was part of the 2005 48-hour film contest (to see movie, go to www.3hmfilms.com), and in which Veronica displayed her other talent: singing.

Having come from a musical background --her father is renowned Bandoneonist David Alsina (www.DavidAlsina.com)-- Veronica has also taken on the venture of managing Latin rock band Tango36 for which she helped organize the successful Rock en Español festival at Miami's Tobacco Road ("Spanish Indie Rock Saturdays"). Additionally, she has appeared and aided in the production of several of Tango36's music videos.

Veronica continues to reside in Miami, Florida, where she continues her diligent and relentless pursuit of stardom as an actress in both the small and big screen.
